Process Optimisation
Less waiting time, less rework, and a metric that shows it worked.

Typical situations
- Orders sit idle between two departments, and nobody knows exactly where.
- Your team works hard, but output doesn’t go up.
- The same data is entered by hand in two or three places.
- Nobody can say how long an order takes from receipt to invoice.
- A process only works while one particular person is in the office.
What you get
Mapping processes as they really are
Not as the manual describes them, but as your team gets them done every day. Together with the people doing the work, including the workarounds nobody likes to mention.
Finding the bottleneck
A process is only as fast as its slowest step. You learn where that step is, roughly what it costs you and why it happens there.
Changing the process
Responsibilities, hand-offs, forms, approvals: what causes the bottleneck gets changed. Software is added only if it is genuinely needed for that.
Measuring the effect on your metric
Before the start you decide how success will be measured, such as lead time or error rate. The same number is measured again afterwards. If it doesn’t move, things get adjusted.
Paid entry point: the bottleneck diagnosis
If you want clarity before commissioning a project: the triage for €1,500 in five business days, or the full diagnosis from €5,900. Fixed price, payment after delivery.
When a business grows, its processes rarely grow with it.
Orders wait between two departments, information gets entered twice, and everyone knows whom to call to make it work after all. That costs you time every day, but nobody can say how much. A new tool changes little if the bottleneck sits in the process itself.
So first I map how the work actually runs today, together with the people who do it. Then the one bottleneck that costs you most gets changed. The same metric is measured before and after, for example the lead time from order to invoice. That way you see in black and white whether it was worth it.
Find. Change. Measure.
First it becomes clear where your process gets stuck. Then that exact spot gets changed. At the end your own number shows whether it paid off.

Intro call, 30 minutes
Free, by video, no sales pitch. You describe where things get stuck. Afterwards you know whether a project makes sense.
Map processes, find the bottleneck
Two to four sessions with the people involved and a look at real cases. The result is a process map everyone understands, and the bottleneck with what it costs.
- 02Change
Agree the metric
You decide what success looks like. The number is measured before anything changes.
Change the process
Hand-offs, responsibilities and tools get adjusted, agreed with your team rather than imposed on it.
Roll out and support
The new process runs day to day. In the first weeks there are regular check-ins on anything that still sticks.
- 03Measure
Re-measure the metric
The number agreed before the start gets measured again after go-live. If it does not move, things get adjusted.
Frequently asked questions
The intro call is free. A fixed entry point is the bottleneck diagnosis: triage €1,500, diagnosis from €5,900, diagnosis with guided implementation €18,000 to €45,000. Every tier at a fixed price, payment after delivery.
After the intro call, you and I map how the work runs today in two to four sessions. Then you agree the metric, the process gets changed and supported in day-to-day work. The diagnosis takes 7–10 business days, implementation usually 6–8 weeks.
Not much. A few real cases from recent weeks help, such as orders that took especially long, plus sessions with the people who run the process every day. You don’t need to prepare any documents.
Two to four sessions with the people involved for the mapping. After that your team works as usual. Changes are agreed with the people who run the process every day.
Often not. Many bottlenecks sit in hand-offs, responsibilities or approvals, and those can be changed without a new system. If software is needed after all, that follows from the analysis, not from a sales pitch.
Because a new system doesn’t fix a clumsy process, it just reproduces it. Only once it is clear where the bottleneck is does the question of the right tool pay off. That is where IT consulting helps.
By the metric you choose before the start, for example lead time, waiting time or error rate. It is measured the same way before and after.
You have one point of contact from mapping to measurement: me. Where it makes sense, I bring in people I have known for years. I remain your point of contact.
The new process belongs to your team, along with the process map and the metric. You can keep measuring the metric yourself. If the next step needs software or an automation, I can take that on as well.
